June 19, 2008 - Even Technologies Releases Software Video Encoders for Home Markets and Studio Markets

Vancouver, BC – June 19, 2008 – Even Technologies Inc. (“Even” TSX-V: ETI), a leader in advanced video compression solutions, announces the release of the PSI_V® 100 Software Encoder. This software encoder features the latest advancements in Even Technologies’ PSI® core compression. The PSI_V® Software Encoder enables high quality low bitrate encoding for user generated content, video on demand applications and online video rentals and purchases.

The PSI_V® Software Encoder is a video on demand encoder for personal and professional video applications. From user generated content on the home PC to professional video encoding at the studio level on Intel®Xeon® processors, the Evenencoder provides higher visual quality while creating smaller file sizes resulting in lower bitrates for video delivery. This technology enables a 66% cost savings in file transfers over H.264 and an 800% improvement over MPEG-2. Enabling a range of new media revenue opportunities that were economically not viable before, the encoder facilitates profitable delivery of video on demand content, social networking video, gaming, file sharing, community events and advertising. With QuickTime Player, Windows Media Player, Flash Player and Carbon Coder integration, the encoder expands mass market opportunity.

Designed for sharing content with the world, the software encoder allows home users to create broadcast quality video experiences on their laptops and distribute them over Internet connections.

For commercial operators, the PSI_V® Software Encoder offers key competitiveadvantages by maximizing the high margin video services that can be delivered over any wireless, IP or satellite network.

For Even Technologies, this product represents entry into the $10 billion video on demand market with applications into a wide range of new media revenue opportunities including mobile video, personalized online channels, video on demand, user generated content and time shifted television.

The release is also the first opportunity for personal users to create content using Even Technologies’ high performance PSI_V® video compression. With user generated content expected to reach 65 billion downloads by 2010, this represents mass market opportunity for Even Technologies.
